In a secluded farmhouse, a family’s life is brought to a crisis point by an unseen creature’s aggression. The father undergoes a transformation that is outlandish to say the least and the night is over. He changes appearance and becomes unrecognizable to them which leaves his family in a horrid state of fear as they try to figure out what’s happening to him. The family divides the fight against the alien outside and the investigation of the butterfly effect concerning the human experience of the creature’s changes. Not until the father evolves into a full-on monster the family has to fight for their lives in a world that’s already abandoned by their rescuer and has turned into something else.
