Returning from the siege, Makmur is eager to rekindle his relationship with his spouse, Sari. Nevertheless, his wife’s unfortunate passing is the news he hears upon his arrival home. Still, he has not yet come to grips with his loss and the house suddenly changes into a horror place where even sounds from the dead roam. “Sssssst … hey …” whispers, some abrupt shadows, and a freezing aura of Sari’s reveal that her ghost has arrived. Longing and grief combine to cause an otherworldly crashing of the bars of death, and so her spirit stays with Makmur giving off mixed vibes of sorrow and love. The embraces of his dead wife give rise to both pleasure and pain, memento mori the other side the buoyant moments that they might once have missed.
